Pobreza e desigualdade no brasil: um olhar sobre o pbf e seus efeitos

Abstract

This work has as general objective the analysis of the concept and the characteristics of the poverty and inequality in Brazil and to relate with the effects of the policies of confrontation. Specifically, it is intended to describe the concepts and the main characteristics of poverty and inequality; Social indicators that help to understand the dimension of the studied problems; referenced in the Brazilian reality; Discuss the reflexes of social coping policies for the problems of poverty and social inequality, focusing on the PBF. In this sense, we intend to analyze the main approaches to poverty: a monetary approach in its absolute and relative face. Given the specificity of poverty, it is important to examine the elements that cause it, as well as those that become persistent in some regions. Therefore, in a unidimensional perspective, the poverty map in Brazil was drawn up showing some social indicators in the last decade, and finally highlighting education and the Bolsa Família program as a public policy to combat poverty.
