Abstract: This undergraduate thesis analyzes the potential and challenges for the consolidation of green hydrogen (H₂V) in the state of Piauí, assessing its economic impact within the context of the Brazilian and global energy transition. The study begins with a historical overview of energy matrices, emphasizing the rise of renewable sources and the strategic role of green hydrogen as a promising vector for energy storage, transportation, and fossil fuel replacement. The relevance of this research lies in the urgent need to combat climate change, decarbonize the energy matrix, and promote a sustainable development model with green job creation and enhanced energy security. Piauí is highlighted as a strategic hub due to its abundance of wind and solar resources. Methodologically, a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach was adopted, based on a systematic literature review. Data collection and analysis were carried out using content analysis, drawing from sources such as SciELO, Google Scholar, and official documents. The results indicate that Piauí presents favorable technical and environmental conditions to lead green hydrogen production in Brazil, making a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening a cleaner, fairer, and more resilient energy matrix.

Abstract: The main objective of this study is to present the state of the art regarding the concepts and definitions of inflation expectations anchoring in the academic literature. Additionally, based on the methodology proposed by de Mendonça et al. (2020), the study calculates the inflation expectations anchoring index for the period from January 2005 to December 2024, using data from the Focus Bulletin. Anchoring is interpreted as the Central Bank’s ability to align economic agents' expectations with the inflation target, serving as an indicator of the credibility and effectiveness of monetary policy. In this regard, it is observed that despite the consensus on the benefits of anchored expectations for combating inflation, there is a wide variety of concepts and methods to assess this phenomenon, such as anchoring relative to the target or to inflation shocks, highlighting the complexity of the subject. Concerning the Brazilian case, the results show that, between 2005 and 2014, expectations remained largely anchored, with episodes of complete de-anchoring occurring mainly between 2014 and 2015, and again from 2020 onwards, following the COVID-19 pandemic. The index reveals greater volatility and fragility in anchoring in recent years, suggesting a weakening in the conduct of monetary policy. The study contributes by highlighting the importance of expectation stability for the effectiveness of the inflation-targeting regime and the ongoing need for actions that reinforce the Central Bank’s credibility in the eyes of economic agents.

Abstract: This study analyzes the feasibility of the minimum wage in ensuring the acquisition of the basic food basket and guaranteeing food security for the population of Parnaíba-PI, Brazil. The research considered the monthly prices of the basic food basket from November 2024 to May 2025, as well as a comparison between the current minimum wage and the necessary minimum wage calculated by the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (DIEESE). For this purpose, primary and secondary data were collected and analyzed, with emphasis on price data gathered through in-person visits to supermarkets in Parnaíba, allowing for the calculation of the actual cost of the basic food basket in the municipality. Subsequently, a nutritional evaluation of the basket's composition was conducted based on previous studies and dietary intake recommendations, in order to assess its adequacy in relation to food security. The results showed that the cost of the basic food basket consumed approximately 40% of the monthly minimum wage, and that the necessary minimum wage was, on average, five times higher than the nominal wage. The nutritional analysis revealed imbalances in the composition of the basket, with an excess of calories and deficiencies in essential nutrients such as calcium and vitamin A. Furthermore, significant price variations were observed for certain products, such as coffee and tomatoes, directly impacting the budgets of local families. Despite the existence of public policies aimed at food security, the data demonstrate that challenges remain in ensuring full and adequate access to food, highlighting the need for more effective policies and a revision of the basic food basket’s composition.

Abstract: This study analyzes the evolution of the creative economy in the Delta do Parnaíba Environmental Protection Area (APA) between 2013 and 2023, focusing on the formal integration of creative workers, the comparison with traditional sectors, and the territorial impacts on regional development. Descriptive in nature and based on a quantitative approach, the research used Annual Relationship of Social Information (RAIS) and General Register of Employed and Unemployed (CAGED) data to map the territorial, sectoral, and sociodemographic distribution of formal employment. The results indicate a significant 179% increase in creative jobs, even amid economic and health crises, while traditional sectors experienced a decline. The creative economy showed a higher net job creation capacity and greater resilience in critical periods. A strong concentration of activities was observed in Parnaíba, which accounted for more than 84% of creative jobs in 2023, contrasting with the low presence of the sector in other municipalities, whose occupational structure. Sectoral analysis highlights the predominance of activities linked to culture, communication, and technology, along with disparities in age, education, and qualifications among workers. The study concludes that the creative economy plays a strategic role in fostering a more sustainable, inclusive, and place-based development model, reinforcing the need for public policies that decentralize resources and strengthen local creative ecosystems.
